What a metallic floor looks like
Metallic pigments move inside the epoxy while it levels, which creates swirls, ripples and a three-dimensional look that reads almost like stone or liquid metal. We can go subtle with one or two close tones, or bold with contrasting colors. Before we pour, we agree on the color palette and the type of movement you want, and we show you samples so there are no surprises on install day.
Where it works best
Metallic epoxy is popular in living areas, home offices, retail spaces, showrooms, salons and high-end garages where the floor is part of the design. It is seamless, so there are no grout lines to trap dirt. In areas that get wet, we add texture where water is expected, because a smooth gloss finish is slick when wet.
How we install it
The process starts the same way as every floor we do: diamond grinding to profile, moisture testing and proper crack repair. Then comes a primer, the metallic pour and a protective clear coat. Metallic floors take longer than a one-day garage, and we give you a realistic schedule in writing before we start.
Pricing
Metallic epoxy starts around $9.75 per square foot. The final price depends on the condition of the slab, the size of the space and the colors and effects you choose. We measure, test the slab and give you a written quote with the system, build thickness and schedule after a free on-site inspection.
Looking after a metallic floor
Sweep or dust-mop it and clean it with a mild cleaner when needed. Avoid acidic cleaners and abrasive pads, and use felt pads under furniture legs. Around year ten, a single refresh coat of clear brings the gloss back.
FAQ
Can metallic epoxy go in a garage?
Yes. Many customers choose it for showroom-style garages. We finish it with a durable clear coat and talk through how you use the space first.
Will it look exactly like the sample?
The colors will match, but every metallic pour moves differently. That is what makes each floor one of a kind.
